Supermarket specials change every single week - so it's hard trying to keep up to date with all the weekly catalogues.

But Australian shoppers have discovered a little-known app that can help you slash hundreds off your grocery bills - and save you bundles of time as well.

Customers can compare prices across leading supermarket chains such as Aldi, Coles, Woolworths and IGA through the free-to-download app called Unocart.

The easy-to-use platform allows consumers to find the best prices found in every aisle, including popular items, fresh meats, fruits and vegetables and many more.

You can search for a particular product you want to buy - and scroll through the screen to find the best value from each store.

Time poor people can also browse all the weekly catalogues across all stores - and create one shopping list of the best cut-priced products from every supermarket.

'Unocart makes grocery shopping easier, shop all of your favourite stores at the same time and compare prices and make sure you always get the best price,' the app said.

'Create one shopping list across all stores at the best price.'

Shoppers have been raving about how much time and money they've been able to save since downloading the app.

'This app is perfect for grocery shopping. You can compare price and check catalogue in one app itself and decide the items you's need for the week,' one said.

Another shopper said: 'This app is a godsend for a time poor person like myself.'

Many customers said they have been able to find the cheapest groceries across all the supermarket stores.

'Love this app, I use it to check all of the weekly specials so easy. It saves me around $20 a week,' one said.
